Braylon's first birthday was a great success. There was lots of wonderful food thanks to our family and a lot of hard work in the days prior, Braylon was blessed with so many wonderful gifts, and my first attempt at making a three-tiered cake was not a total disaster! I had no idea it would be quite that time consuming. We had the party at the Gymboree near our house and Braylon and all the kids really enjoyed it. We thought that would be a great place to have it since most of the kids we know are under five. Braylon was not really all that interested in all the cool gym equipment they have there though. He was more interested in the huge tub of balls he could play with and he took full advantage. It was hilarious watching him try to decide which two he was going to carry around with him. He'd have both hands full and spot another one, run up to it, and realize his dilemma when he had to put one down in order to grab the new one he found. The time flew by so quickly I can hardly remember it. Thank goodness for pictures and video cameras! One of the great things about having it at the Gymboree was that the lady who works there had a little agenda planned for the kids. We sang songs and played games and all of the kids really got into that. Braylon was even willing to put the balls down for a few minutes to join the fun. Thank you to everyone who came; Braylon's day was amazing!

Mommy finally helped him out and he got a teeny bit messy :0)

Braylon ducked out just as we brought the parachute down over us. I think we managed to get him under it at least one of the times though.

Braylon's first birthday party looks like it was a lot of fun! I wish Jake and I could have been there to celebrate. He loves Gymboree also.
Braylon is so photogenic and takes the most amazing pictures. He is so cute! And yes, I do think he looks like you also.
