Bubbson's Gift from Santa

We know Braylon really means business with this toy because he was concentrating so hard while playing with it, as you can see by his tongue hanging out. He was cracking us up. Daddy helped show him the ropes while I made sure to take pictures and film it. Braylon was so excited to play with this that daddy was having a hard time getting it set up cause Braylon kept trying to play with it before he was done. He put up quite the fight with mommy to get to it, but I held him off long enough for daddy to finish putting it together. We're just glad he likes it. When the music starts playing, Braylon dances to the beat. It is so cute!

Braylon and Jake Meet

Our friends Jenn and Jake were in town visiting for the holidays and made a special trip to our house so that little Jake and Braylon could meet for the very first time. Jake was very intrigued by all of Braylon’s new toys that he got for Christmas. He was running from toy to toy the entire time he was here. It was very cute. The two boys got along great as well. It was so nice to see Jenn again. And it was very nice to finally meet Jake. He is even cuter in person. Hopefully the next time we see them we’ll be out in California!

Christmas with Ann and The Friarsons

Preston and Helena got to go to Disney World this year for Christmas. How exciting for them!! We still haven’t been able to get together to hear the details of their trip, but we all got together before Christmas and celebrated before they left.

We had a really great time and we can’t wait to hear how much fun they had with Mickey and Minnie!
Apparently, Ryan is camera shy because we don't have any pictures of him. We'll have to make sure that doesn't happen next time!

Christmas Day: Part Two

After spending time with everyone at Aunt Christina’s house, mommy and daddy left Braylon with Grandpa Bob and Grandma Mel and went home to drop off his gifts and load up for our stay with Grandma Lois and Uncle Jeff. Braylon visited some of grandma and grandpa’s friends and got even more gifts! Their friend’s five-year-old little grand-daughter generously gave him her teddy bear too. She took one look at him, disappeared to her room and returned with a fluffy red bear and said, “He just has to have this.” What a little sweetheart!

Grandma made a delicious lasagna dinner which we enjoyed just before opening gifts.

Santa was tricked once again, and brought Braylon gifts at grandma’s house too. We have a clever family; although, maybe Santa knows but he is just so generous he doesn’t mind bringing Braylon extra gifts. Either way, Braylon really lucked out cause he ended up getting four stockings filled by Santa.

Braylon had lots of fun opening his gifts from grandma and Uncle Jeff. He got a push along fire truck, some maracas, his very own phone, a bath time boat set, and a learning caterpillar.

Braylon really enjoyed playing with these cute little stacking cups. Of all the crazy gadgets he received, the most simple of them all kept him entertained for the entire evening and the next morning.

Christmas 2008 was wonderful. Thank you again to everyone for making it so amazing for our little munchkin.

Christmas Day

Christmas day was filled with lots of yummy food and fun times with family. We started the morning off at home where Braylon opened his gifts from Santa, and mommy and daddy. No pictures of that though; only video.

We headed over to Aunt Christina and Uncle Dave’s house at 11:00am for Christmas Brunch. Grandpa was so excited about Braylon’s gift that he couldn’t wait longer than five minutes from our arrival to give it to him. He and Grandma Mel adopted a baby elephant in Braylon’s name. The elephant’s name is Sinya. She is female and lives in a wildlife sanctuary in Kenya Africa. She was discovered early morning on September 14th trapped in a well. The young boys who found her, alerted the Kenyan Wildlife Service who rescued the elephant midday that day. She was eight months old when they rescued her. Braylon is now her foster parent and will receive updates throughout the year of her progress along with pictures of her and other elephants she is growing up with.

Braylon had fun opening his other gifts. Aunt Christina tricked Santa into coming to her house too, so Braylon got a stocking filled by Santa there too. Great thinking Aunt Christina!

Braylon had such a fun time. He played with his new toys from Uncle Dave and Aunt Christina.

He played with mommy.

He read his new book with daddy and tried on his favorite accessory; daddy’s sunglasses.

He played with Leo of course.

He hung out with Uncle Jeff and Uncle Brandon.

And he played in Santa’s goodie bag with Grandpa.

Christmas morning was so much fun!
