My First Black Eye

Braylon is all over the place these days. He is extremely discontent if he is made to stay still. With this new found mobility, yet instability, he is constantly falling into things and hurting himself. Thursday night, he was playing happily with one of his toys near the coffee table. As he leaned in for a better look, he fell forward right into the edge of the coffee table leg, putting a little gash in his forward. Mommy quickly came to the rescue, and now the coffee table legs are wrapped in towels. What a lovely decorative addition! If that wasn't enough, Friday, while playing with his playmate Lily, Braylon fell on one of the wooden blocks they were playing with which cut him just under his left eye and turned into a black eye. I tried to get a picture and some video for the record books. It's a little easier to see in the Sunday pics. Our little dare devil.

Sunday:

P.S. He loves Mommy's bangle bracelets. He carries those things everywhere. He loves the noise they make when he bangs them on his toys and furniture.

Causing Mischief

Last week we found out that Braylon really loves clapping. Initially, we were trying to use clapping to keep him from getting into things he isn't suppose to, but that didn't turn out in our favor at all. Braylon is infatuated with the TV stand and all of its gadgets. When he was climbing up on it and trying to touch the buttons of various electronics, Daddy clapped his hands to tell him no. Instead of Braylon reacting the way we wanted by discontinuing the act, he laughed hysterically and turned into the smiliest baby!! We had no choice but to surrender to those bright blue eyes and rosy red cheeks! I guess we need to find a new disciplinary method. :)

"Uh-Oh"

Braylon is doing all sorts of things these days. He loves his Sesame Street music table because he can pull himself up to it and play songs. He is always cruising from one place to the next, standing up as much as possible. He is also saying "uh-oh" and waves when you say hi. From time to time he mimics "hi" and "bye-bye" as well.

Halloween Extravaganza

Braylon's first Halloween was filled with many adventures. His first adventure took place at Pottery Barn Kids where he danced along with other kids while children singer Katherine Dines performed. It was a lot of fun. Braylon bounced with excitment and ever so often, he tried to sing too.

Braylon also went to Old Navy for a Halloween Party on the 25th. He was the talk of the store. Everyone loved Baby Yoda!

Braylon went to three other Halloween parties too. He went to Jason and Amanda's Halloween party which was also Amanda's 30th celebration. Grandma Mel's party on the 31st. And Uncle T.J.'s party on the 1st. Mom and Dad joined Yoda as Princess Leia and Darth Vader.

This little Yoda is conked out from all of the partying!! A tired one, I am. :)

Fun at the Park

My cousin Jessica watches Braylon for me during the day. On the 16th, they went to the park and Braylon really enjoyed himself.

Grandma Mel's Birthday

Yes, I am very behind! I am a busy, busy woman but I am doing my best to try and keep you all informed with the latest happenings and pictures.

We celebrated Melody's birthday with her on Oct 5th. Christina was nice enough to take pictures for us. Braylon had a great time that night.

He liked Grandma's presents from Aunt Christina and Uncle Dave.

He goofed off with Grandpa

He had a doggie ride

He even took a bath!!

And then clean as new, he danced the night away on the countertops.
